Great guide to the SAT for reluctant studiers. Readable and engaging.

If you are serious about raising your score, this guide is worth a shot. It is light and readable, but serious. The language is accessible, yet it gives a solid (short) comprehensive view of each section without sacrificing academic rigor. The test-taking strategies introduced are fundamentally valuable, and the practice questions are designed to introduce the student to the SAT structure to improve comprehension of the core concepts within each section as well as pinpoint existent skills that may need to be strengthened.

These are the sections of the guide: Overview, Test-Taking Strategies, Free DVD Offer (test taking tips), Introduction to the SAT, Reading (Command of Evidence, Words in Context, Analysis in History/Social Studies and in Science, Practice Questions, Answer Explanations), Writing and Language (Expression of Ideas, Standard English Conventions, Practice Questions, Answer Explanations), Mathematics (Heart of Algebra, Problem Solving and Data Analysis, Passport to Advanced Math, Additional Topics in Math, Practice Questions, Answer Explanations), Essay (essay Prompt).

Overall, a good choice, and it is not boring!
