Title: Britt-Marie Was Here
Author: Frederik Backman
Publisher: Atria Books
Pub. Date: 3 May, 2016
Genre: Fiction
Britt-Marie is odd. The entire community of Borg is a mess. Soccer is truth. Faxon is discontinued. One night of whiskey can change the world, but it is common to suffer from flu the morning after. It is all so compelling that it is impossible for a reader not to be as deeply transformed as them all by the end.
I laughed out loud.
I cried a bit.
I didn’t know how I wanted it to turn out, because I cared too much.
I was satisfied.
I smiled at the grocery store when I passed the Baking Soda, and the other lady in the aisle smiled like she had read it too and knew.
Not just a book for women.
I received a review copy from the publisher through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
